L-R:Digital, Mikey D, Scandal, Ragga

The ROUGH BUT SWEET SOUND SYSTEM was founded in 1989, in London, England by owner/DJ Mikey D.

The ROUGH BUT SWEET SOUND SYSTEM has played at the Notting Hill Carnival every year since their inception (Conlan Street off East Row), as well as all over the UK & internationally in Germany alongside Pow Pow & Gentleman, in Italy with One Love, & in Jamaica.

The ROUGH BUT SWEET SOUND SYSTEM rig was used for the World Sound Clash Link Up in 1997 & has expanded it's bombastic power every year.

An extensive collection of sounds has been built up from classic reggae & dub to ragga & dancehall, from soul & swing to calypso & garage.

With good island connections we also have plenty of original dub plates from artists such as Sizzla, Vybz, Gregory Isaacs, Capleton, Beenie Man, C'ecile & Denis Brown.

We are available for parties, weddings, house parties, christenings & sound clashes. Nothing stops us from keeping the crowd going every time.

So, if you want a big treat,

make sure you book

ROUGH BUT SWEET!
